Motorcycling

If you've considered becoming involved in motorcycling but haven't known where to start, the following might be of interest.

I've started building a "First Motorcycle" guide on-line. To date, there are six pages [no css, yet] up:

  1. Getting Started on Two Wheels
  2. Choosing a First Motorcycle
  3. Choosing Motorcycle Gear
  4. The Real Cost of Ownership
  5. On the Road: Wind, Rain, etc.
  6. Dedication: Theresa Wallach

Thanks!

Pyemotes Herfsi
Pyemotes Herfsi: Bitten as "itch mites" invade Chicago.
Shuna Left -- Kat Right
BlogHer 07: Chicago's Navy Pier; tour w/ Kat & friend.
Magicicada
Magicicada: The 17-year emergence; my third interaction.
Niki de Saint Phalle: Arbre Serpents
Niki de Saint Phalle: An exhibit @ Garfield Park Conservatory.

hey. hi!

the cicadas were quiet difficult to ignore -- reaching 100db when gathered in great number!

the art too is getting to be difficult to ignore: whether it's "the best" art, chicago has been "showing off" more-and-more public sculpture in conjunction with its increasing quantity of green space.

if it's just for [tourist/convention] perception, it's still a good image to build...

ok, we're not london.

sweet!

Funny how one gets hooked on two wheels ... ever since I started cycling daily, I've wanted to upgrade to a better bike ... and then I started checking out motorcycles-- help, it's an addiction!

so true. i am thankful that i've still got a decent bike left from the 80's. it just feels good to ride, no? with the skyrocketing price of energy and traffic congestion, i can't believe that more people aren't on bikes, scooters and motorcycles...

all the years i teased kini about the tropics [snakes, sea cucumbers, etc] have led to this ironic justice: i am the one with bugs crawling under his skin!

if the two of you really like me, you'll get at least one decent infection on your next trip -- just to make me feel better. oh, and don't forget to post pics!

I tried to pick up something, but only managed a few very itchy mozzie bites and one ant bite on my toe. I even went traipsing through the jungle but it seems nothing was interested.

I'll let Kini tell you about our hospital trip.
